The poverty of immortality: The biological drive to survive has been confused with (transposed into) the self-identity narrative’s drive to survive. With the belief in immortality, ‘meaning’ becomes dependent upon the duration of the ego’s existence. It represents a misguided and superficial attempt to quantify ‘meaning.’
